Massage is a great way of relaxing and getting back in touch with your body. Our incessant tendency to shift our attention away from our body onto whatever we are trying to achieve is what breaks the grounded link to our core centre of balance and harmony. Massage can re-centre your energy and focus.
Massage will relieve muscle aches and pains, stiffness, anxiety, mental congestion, provide clarity and will make you feel revived and fresh.
Massage comes in many different forms and can be used to focus on different needs. Generally any type of massage will work on various levels at the same time, including physically, energetically and emotionally.
If you wish to focus on a particular level, let’s say energetic healing, then a massage which primarily focuses on that level can be chosen. Please ask for advice if you are unsure what exactly you would like the massage to help with.
Some schools of thought claim that Meditation is the only means to Happiness. This is not a view held strongly by Core, however it does emphasise what a powerful practice it is.
Meditation is simply the act of being present and aware, in other words not being lost in thoughts, fears and emotions but rather being aware that they are there. The act of being present can dilute or even dissolve the struggle we have with certain subjects.
This practice of awareness can bring about a new appreciation of life’s depth, including an appreciation for the pains of life which are invariably present as part and parcel of daily living.
As with Massage, meditation practices come in many forms and different meditations will suit different goals.
Meditations can be used to activate your body’s energy, shift engrained ways of being and thinking, help quiet the mind, or simply bring you into the present moment where the wonder of life can be experienced and appreciated.
You cannot fail at meditation, the most useful times in meditation are when we become aware that our attention has wandered. So don’t be afraid to give it a go, our instructors and guides are particularly keen to assist those who have never tried meditation, or experienced meditators who are keen to explore alternate aspects or forms of meditation.
In many traditional cultures the handing down of wise ways and concepts through face to face teachings or via written word has always played an important role in keeping a balanced approach to life alive.
At times confronting, but almost always stimulating, listening to a new perspective which is delivering positive results in daily living is a great way to bring about change.
Whether you are just mildly interested in the subject and given it little thought or if you are a seasoned seeker, our guides will be happy to share some of their concepts and ways of being which play a pivotal role in their life and have had a great impact on bringing about an end of suffering..
